Holiday Cheer Campaign

This holiday season, Trauma Youth Support Services (TYSS) is bringing Holiday CHEER to children and families waiting in emergency rooms for mental health treatment beds. With your support, we will provide 50 children with comforting stuffed animals, offer self-care gifts to their caregivers, and share holiday cards designed by youth with lived mental health experience. By giving to this campaign, you are offering more than a gift—you are bringing comfort, dignity, and hope to families in crisis. Every contribution, big or small, helps remind caregivers and kids that they are not alone this holiday season. crisis. Every donation, big or small, helps us remind caregivers and kids that they are not alone.created the J.R. Program: to provide caregivers with the support they deserve.

Caregiver Comfort Initiative

At TYSS, we understand the critical role caregivers play in the lives of youth experiencing mental health challenges—and we know how often their own well-being is overlooked. That’s why we created the J.R. Program: to provide caregivers with the support they deserve.

The first initiative of the JR Program is the Caregiver Comfort Initiative. This initiative will provide complimentary self-care gift baskets to caregivers, offering comfort, encouragement, and resources to help them prioritize their own well-being while navigating the complexities of their loved ones' mental health journey..

 Each gift basket includes:

  • Self-Care Essentials: Items such as aromatherapy products, soothing candles, relaxation tools, journals, and gift cards for local restaurants or food delivery services to promote relaxation and stress relief.
  • Health and Wellness Items: Herbal teas, nutritious snacks, and vitamins to help caregivers maintain their physical health during difficult times.
  • Resource Materials: Educational books, guides, and materials on mental health, caregiving, and self-care to empower caregivers with knowledge and tools to manage their unique situations.

The J.R. Program reflects our belief that caregivers are better equipped to support their loved ones through recovery and healing when they take care of themselves.

How it works

Through trusted partnerships with mental health facilities, social service agencies, and local hospitals, TYSS identifies families—both youth and caregivers—who need support during times of crisis. Our programs are more than acts of kindness; they are a lifeline of hope and strength for families affected by mental illness. By empowering children and their caregivers, we help build resilience within families and spark a ripple effect of healing and positive change.

We Want to Hear from You!

We are actively fundraising to bring this program to life—and we’d love to hear from caregivers who may wish to receive a gift basket once funding is secured.

By joining our interest list, you not only share your needs with us, but also help show donors and sponsors how vital this program is for families in crisis. While we cannot guarantee immediate availability, your interest motivates us to push forward and make distribution possible as soon as we can.

Please use the link below to join our list. Thank you for your patience, and for being part of this important journey. Together, we can ensure caregivers—who give so much of themselves—receive the support they deserve.
