Join us in our mission to support and empower youth and their caregivers during mental health crises, fostering resilience and healing so families can thrive together.
Parenting a child in mental health crisis can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to face it alone. Trauma Youth Support Services (TYSS) supports caregivers and youth with tools, resources, and community to foster resilience, prevent burnout, and promote healing — especially for families facing systemic barriers to care.
Our mission is urgent yet clear: to foster hope and healing so youth and families can thrive together.

I’ve spent more than 20 years working in mission-driven nonprofit organizations and advocating for mental health support for children and families. I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and am the proud parent of two children adopted from foster care, both of whom live with complex mental health challenges.
Walking alongside my children through their journeys opened my eyes to the stigma, isolation, and lack of resources that caregivers face every day. Even with knowledge, determination, and love, I often felt alone in navigating systems that weren’t designed to support families like mine.
Those experiences—combined with my professional background and lived expertise—led me to create Trauma Youth Support Services (TYSS). I founded TYSS so other caregivers wouldn’t have to endure the same struggles my family did. My mission is to ensure caregivers have the compassion, tools, and support they need to help their families heal, grow, and thrive.
